Ian Murray is an author and local historian living and working on Royal Deeside in Scotland's North-east corner. For the last 10 years Ian has made a study of the land, people and traditions of the Upper Deeside and Cairngorm areas.

These web-pages were created in late 1999 in order to make Ian's books and photographs more widely available. Previously, Ian's best-selling publications could only be obtained from bookshops in the North-East of Scotland. It is hoped the web page and associated on-line ordering facility will enable people with Scottish connections or of Scottish descent to research and share in the rich heritage of this beautiful, very special and unspoilt corner of Scotland
